about me

Tyler Del Cont is a Southern California born and raised Director/Writer who began working on professional film sets in 2016. He has worked as a Director, 2nd Assistant Director, Practical Special Effects Assistant, Assistant Prop Master and Production Assistant, experiences that shaped his understanding of storytelling as a lived, tactile, and emotional practice. His latest film, Highways, is completed and being submitted to festivals.

Tyler is drawn to stories that exist in the quiet, in between moments of life, where people reveal themselves not in words, but in gestures, silences, and fleeting glances. His work explores the fragility, contradictions, and beauty of human experience, embracing complexity without judgment. He seeks to capture the feeling of being alive in a world that is always moving, where truth and perception collide, and where the ordinary can suddenly become profound.

For Tyler, filmmaking is a way of witnessing, of holding up a mirror to life’s subtleties and contradictions. His films are built to move, unsettle, and linger, to leave audiences feeling the weight of emotion, the resonance of memory, and the echo of lives lived just beyond the frame. He makes work that insists on honesty, on intimacy, and on the courage to confront both the light and the darkness within people and within ourselves.
